At the bottom of the explanations below, find the assembly steps in a short and schematic video. To start, if you want to discover and learn the Brickstitch technique on bases, watch this tutorial which starts the same way with a first row of Miyuki delica beads woven on the edge of the base. Click on this link: Miyuki bead flower earrings This bead border will serve as an attachment for the other beads and will allow you to easily string the other beads. For this version, first weave 10 Miyuki delica 11/0 beads on the edge of the base. Cut a thread about 60cm, string the beads keeping a starting thread of about 15cm. Once the beads are strung, take the starting thread and tuck it into the beads to secure it. Cut flush. Pick up the weaving thread, string a mother-of-pearl drop bead and a cube bead. Pass back through the mother-of-pearl bead then pierce the needle into the 2nd Miyuki delica bead on the edge. The cube bead blocks the mother-of-pearl bead, tighten the thread well throughout the weaving! Pierce the needle into the 3rd bead then string another mother-of-pearl bead and a cube bead. Continue the assembly until you have strung 5 mother-of-pearl beads. Now, pierce the needle into the last mother-of-pearl bead strung and into the cube bead. This will allow you to make the last bead border and thus join the mother-of-pearl beads together. String a golden washer, a Bohemian bead, and a washer. Pierce into the next cube bead and continue the assembly. Once the last row is completed, go back through the mother-of-pearl bead and the Miyuki bead. Secure the thread by passing through the beads of the first row, making loops in the beads. Cut the thread flush.
Make the second loop identically... Your jewelry is finished! Beautiful creation! |
