Clean and very graphic, discover how to make these earrings composed of small Japanese beads and Bohemian drop beads strung with the Brickstitch weaving technique.

To start, cut a thread about 60cm long then tie it to the hoop earring. String 30 beads for the first row using the Brickstitch weaving technique. To do this, tie the end of the thread to the hoop earring then thread 2 beads onto the needle, pass the needle through the hoop earring then back through the second bead. These will naturally position themselves on the outer edge of the hoop earring. Once the beads are strung, create the points interspersed with drop beads. Using the same technique, place 2 beads on the second row by decreasing, then 1 bead on the 3rd row to form the triangle. Go back down into the beads and come out at the 4th bead of the first row. Now thread a drop bead before continuing the assembly of the points... Beautiful creations ;-) |
