To start, thread the beads onto the silk thread. Temporarily tie the end of the thread to prevent the beads from slipping off during assembly. For more texture, I chose to add 3 off-center Keishi beads. 

For a necklace of about 38cm of beads (without the clasp and extender chain) I placed 54 small mother-of-pearl beads and 3 Keishi beads. The threading measured about 34cm before the knots. 

Thread the protector as shown in the photo below, place it towards the middle of the thread and make 2 knots at the edge of the protector.

Be careful to keep enough thread to make all the knots afterwards. 

Now pass the thread back through the first bead.

Make 2 simple knots.

With this method your knots will always be well placed! This way you avoid the risk of having slack between the beads and the knots. 

Be careful not to pull too hard on the thread and don’t tighten the knots too much or you risk breaking the thread!

Bring a new bead to the edge of the knots then repeat 2 simple knots.

Continue like this until the end of the assembly! 

Then thread the protector and make 2 knots at the edge of the last bead.

To secure the assembly, you can place a small drop of glue on the knots located at the edges of the thread protectors.

To finish, attach the clasp and the extender chain at the ends with jump rings.

Your jewelry is finished!
