Stella Necklace

This assembly isn't very complicated, you'll just need a bit of patience to string all these tiny beads... But the result is really worth it!

For this project you will need:

Faceted beads in natural stone
0.35mm silk thread
Star beads
3mm rings
Chain
A set teardrop pendant
Extension chain
A clasp
Crimp beads

The assembly:

Here we made a 45cm necklace (without the extension that will allow you to adjust it). We wanted a necklace worn close to the neck but not too tight to emphasize the drape's flexibility. You can perfectly adjust the size to your taste by reducing the length of the chains, or by reducing the number of beads.

To start, cut 2 pieces of chain 10cm each. It is on these chains that we will connect the bead stringing.

Unroll your silk thread then string a crimp bead, pass the needle through the chain link then pass back through the bead. Crimp it as close as possible to the chain with flat pliers.

Then to secure the attachment make two knots at the edge of the crimp bead. Tighten well then cut the thread that sticks out at the knots.

Start stringing...

String 12 small beads, try to take them 3 by 3 to facilitate the assembly.

Alternate with a star bead then start again with 12 new beads. Continue like this until placing 9 sets of 12 beads with the star beads.

Finish with a star bead.

Now string a crimp bead then pass through the chain link. Pass back through the crimp bead then pull the thread to tighten the stringing.

Be careful before crimping the bead to be crimped, make sure to keep the stringing flexible but without gaps between the beads. Your assembly should remain fluid without stiffness.

Then crimp the bead and make two tight knots at the edges. Cut the excess thread.

In the center of the bead stringing, place the set pendant with a 3mm ring.

To finish, on one side of the chain place the 3cm extension chain with a 3mm ring and on the other chain, the lobster clasp.
