To begin, cut a circle about 20cm in diameter from stiff cardboard, then cut a hole about 2cm in the centre of the circle.

Using a pen, draw 2 perpendicular lines in a cross. Repeat the 2 perpendicular lines in the intervals. This will give you 8 lines.

Make notches at the edge of the circle on the 8 lines. To make assembly easier, number the lines clockwise from 1 to 8.

Cut 7 cords of linhasita threads. Here we have cut 6 coloured cords into 0.5mm and 1 gold cord into 1mm. This will give us a 4mm diameter cord to match our supports.

You can also adapt this technique with more threads for a wider cord. To do this, simply make more notches in the support.

Tie a knot with the cords to bring them together, then pass the knot through the central hole in the bracket. Then place the cords in the notches, following the numbers.

Start braiding... Take cord No. 3 and place it in the empty slot to the left. You will always take the 3rd cord to the right after the empty slot.

Continue with the 3rd cord to the right after the empty space, N°6, which you take to the left into the empty notch. Then N° 1, N°4, N°7...

Remember to keep your threads taut throughout the assembly process.

Gradually you will see the braid form on the reverse side of the backing.

Once you've reached the desired length, remove the braid from the support and thread the metal beads onto the cord.

On the central bead, place the pendant with a ring through the hole in the bead.

Tie the cords in a knot to secure the braid, then cut the threads.

Place glue in the end caps and then insert the cords.

To finish, place the clasp and the extension chain with 4mm rings.

And Voila! Beautiful creation!
