|
This is the jewel you'll never want to leave! Modular and infinitely adaptable, this creation is adorned with a graphic chain on which you can hang a talisman stone, thread a pearl... There's also a mother-of-pearl beaded section that can be detached to dress up your wrist in the blink of an eye...

To begin with, measure your wrist. This will be the basis for all your measurements, chain and bead threading. For the chain part, you can wear it as a necklace with all the elements linked together or as a double-turn bracelet. So multiply your wrist measurement by 2 and cut the chain to size. On one side, place the clasp with a 3mm ring. Then thread on the donut bead before placing the second clasp at the other end. Then open an 8mm (or 6mm) ring and attach the heart pendant. This can be placed directly in the clasp, and added or removed as you wish.

For the beaded part... Cut a nylon thread about 30cm long. Thread a bead to be crushed, then the clasp, before threading through the bead to be crushed again. Place the elements at one end of the thread, leaving about 2cm. Flatten the pearl with flat tongs. The little piece of wire will be tucked into the beads, so it won't prick you! Then string the mother-of-pearl beads, altering them with small Miyuki beads. Continue until you reach wrist size. To finish, place a pearl to be crushed, the other part of the clasp before going back through the pearl to be crushed and about 2cm of beads. Pull on the thread, taking care to keep the beads supple. Then flatten the pearl to be crushed. |
Finally, you can create a natural stone pendant. Choose your stone, a rough stone, a point... Cut a flexible 0.4mm brass wire approximately 20cm long. If your stone has a hole in it, pass the wire through the hole, otherwise you can wrap the wire directly around it. To be on the safe side, if your stone is smooth and has no holes, you can place a small dot of glue under the brass wire. Then wind the wire around 2/3 of the way round, your two threads ends coming together towards the top of the stone. With the first thread, make a "rolled" loop, then wrap the remaining thread around itself (making sure to take it with the 2nd thread.) Cut flush then wrap the 2nd thread, 2 turns to lock it, then cut flush. And voilà! Beautiful creation! |
