To begin with, measure the size of your neck, leaving a little slack. This collar should fall to the level of the collarbones. Here we have made a 38cm choker. (Total size, clasp plus beads without extension) The extension chain will allow you to adjust the necklace more easily. Don't forget that the clasp must be the same size as your necklace. Cut an extension chain about 3cm long. This will make it easier for you to adjust the necklace to suit your outfits and necklines. Here we've taken the diamond chain, which will work with the large clasp. If you want a smaller clasp, opt for the classic extension chain with a small lobster clasp. Start assembling the silk thread. Here the thread already has an integrated needle to make assembly easier! First thread a beads to be crushed, then the clasp, before threading back through the bead to be crushed. Bring the bead towards the end of the thread and to the edge of the clasp before flattening it. Now thread the beads... Next, thread a bead to be crushed, the extension chain and then back through the bead to be crushed. Now pull on the thread, naturally the pearl to be crushed and the extension chain will come closer to the beads. Be careful to place the necklace in its final shape and keep it flexible. Then crush the pearl. Trim the excess thread. And voilà! Beautiful creation! |
