The threads for jewelry
|
We love the delicacy of this ethnic-inspired jewel. A subtle marriage of bohemian beads, gold beads and ethnic pendants. A necklace you can match in any colour you like.

Assembly: |

|
Step 1: To begin, cut a piece of brass wire about 20cm long. Then cut 2 pieces of chain about 15cm long. Here we've made a 40cm choker necklace. If you'd like it to fall a little wider, don't hesitate to extend the length of the chains. Form a loop at one end of the thread, then insert the chain link. Then wind the end of the wire at the bottom of the loop 2 turns to create a coiled loop. This makes for a clean, solid assembly. Trim the excess wire flush. Start stringing the beads, alternating donuts, metal beads and pendants. Follow the order of the beads in the photo below. The size of the threading will be ideal on the neck, neither too long nor too short. Place the enamelled pendant in the centre, then repeat the symmetry...

Step 2:
Once you've finished stringing, form a loop around the edge of the last bead and then insert the other piece of chain. Form a coiled loop as before. Be sure to make the loops discreet enough for the finesse of the assembly. For a pretty finish, distort the string of beads to give it a curved shape that follows your neck. Then cut a 3cm piece of extension chain. At the ends of the chains, place the clasp with a ring on one side and the extension chain on the other. |
