I will give you the instructions for a 40cm choker necklace, but feel free to adjust the size to your liking by lengthening either the chains or the strand of beads. In this case, consider taking 2 mother-of-pearl threads. To start, thread the 4mm round beads onto flat head pins and form loops of normal size. The loop made should measure about 3mm in diameter for a nice discreet look. Next, thread 5 drop beads onto flat head pins. Make loops of the same size as the previous ones. ![]() Then cut a transparent nylon thread about 30cm long. Here we will start from the center of the necklace and then build the beads symmetrically. This method allows adjusting the length and threading without having to remove everything if it doesn't suit you. First thread a drop bead in the center, on each side place a mother-of-pearl bead. Thread a 4mm bead on each side, then again a mother-of-pearl bead. Continue like this until all the drop beads and 4mm beads are placed alternately with the mother-of-pearl beads. Finish threading with the remaining mother-of-pearl beads symmetrically. ![]() Now we will connect the bead thread to the chains. Here I offer a simple and easy version to connect a bead strand to chains. First, cut 2 pieces of chain 10.5cm long. Here for a 40cm necklace. Adjust the length if needed. Thread a crimp bead onto the nylon thread, then pass the thread through the chain link. Pass the thread back through the crimp bead, then, with flat pliers, bring the bead to the edge of the chain link. Flatten the bead with the flat pliers. Cut the excess thread at the edge of the bead. For the other side, do as before, but before flattening the bead, make sure to keep flexibility in the bead strand. Your necklace should remain fluid without stiffness between the beads. ![]() To finish, connect the clasp with a 3mm ring at the end of one of the chains. On the other side, place the closed ring with a 3mm ring. Check that your rings are properly closed. ![]() Your jewelry is finished! Beautiful creation! Complete your creation with the matching earrings! ![]() Find all the supplies for making this jewelry at the bottom of the page. |
