Aventurine Cascade Earrings Tutorial – Faceted Cabochons Page 3

An easy tutorial to create an aventurine cascade: a play of sizes & shapes, faceted cabochons that catch the light, and a clean setting to enhance the gems.

To be endlessly customized with all our natural stone cabochons.

For this project you will need:
6 open 3mm jump rings 24K gold plated earring findings 24K gold plated for 4x6mm cabochons gold plated 24K fine gold bases connectors for 4mm and 6mm cabochons 2 pendants gold plated with 24K fine gold for 4x6mm cabochons 4 natural stone cabochons 4x6mm 2 natural stone cabochons 4mm 2 natural stone cabochons 6mm

Tools to use:

flat pliers for jewelry making
UHU jewelry glue

The assembly:

To start, place a small dot of glue on a surface (cardboard, paper sheet, etc.). This helps to dose the glue properly and avoid excess that could smudge the bases and stones.

With a fine tip (like a toothpick), take a small amount of glue and place it in the center of a cabochon base. Place the cabochon in its base, then apply slight pressure. Adjust it so it is well positioned.

Repeat this step for all bases and cabochons.

Wait for complete drying or at least 5 to 10 minutes.

Now open a 3mm jump ring using 2 flat pliers, then attach the 6mm cabochon connector at the bottom of the earring base.

Connect the cabochon connector at the bottom of the 6mm connector, then finish with the oval cabochon pendant.

Make sure to properly close the jump rings. If needed, place the assembly in front of a window to check if the rings are correctly closed.
