We played with the different sizes of beads and cabochons to create a beautiful gradient to wear around the neck. A subtle, refined creation to be combined with the stones of your choice.

This piece of jewellery is very easy to make. To begin with, glue the cabochons into the brackets, placing a small dab of glue in the centre. Here we have used a 6mm cabochon for the centre and 4 4mm cabochons to place on each side. Be careful not to apply too much adhesive, as it could spill over the edge of the substrate. Mount the cushion beads on the studs, 2 cushions 4mm and 2 cushions 6mm, and form pretty loops using round-ended pliers. Now connect the various components together: Cut the chain to the desired length. Here, for a nice effect on the top of the collarbone, we've used a chain about 42cm long. Fold the chain in 2 so that you can see where the centre is, then fit the 6mm cabochon with a 3mm ring in the centre of the chain. Then connect the 6mm cushion beads to the loops created earlier on each side. Space the cabochon of the beads 3 links apart and attach the bead to the 4th link after the cabochon link. Keep the same spacing between the different elements, then assemble the 4mm cabochons with 3mm rings, the 4mm cushion beads and then the 4mm cabochons. Finally, cut a 4cm piece of extension chain. Connect the ends of the chain, the buoy clasp and the extension chain with 3mm rings. And voilà! Beautiful creation! |
