10 cm carnelian rosary chain 2 mm, 24K gold-plated Premium brass

A rosary chain in which small faceted carnelian beads follow one another in a gradient, from golden honey to deep orange-red, between 24K gold-plated links. Each stone is set by hand in our partner workshop in Jaipur, India.

Features:

  • Material: 24K gold-plated Premium brass
  • Stone: natural carnelian, faceted
  • Stone size: approx. 2 mm
  • Width: approx. 2 mm
  • Quantity: 10 cm length
  • Treatment: none
  • Manufacture: handmade in our partner workshop in Jaipur, India
  • Origin: gold-plated in Europe

The chain is sold in 10 cm lengths. If you order several, it is cut in one continuous piece: 4 lengths make a 40 cm choker, with no join. Wear it on its own as a necklace or a fine bracelet, layer it with plain gold-plated chains, or cut it into short segments for earrings. To close it, use 3 mm jump rings and a 24K gold-plated clasp.

A little gemmology: carnelian is a chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz. It owes its orange colour to fine iron oxides in varying concentrations, hence the natural gradient from one bead to the next. These carnelians have not been treated: their colour is that of the stone. Hardness 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. The best-known deposits are in India, Brazil and Uruguay.

In crystal healing: carnelian is associated with the sacral chakra. It is said to carry a warm energy, conducive to vitality, creativity and self-confidence.

100% natural product: the shade and size of the stones may vary slightly from one length to another.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
