To start, separate your natural bead thread in two to easily get the beads corresponding to the two sides of the necklace. This will make threading easier. Take the silk thread then thread a bead to be crimped and your clasp before passing back through the bead to be crimped. Pull the thread to bring the clasp to the end of the thread while keeping a piece of about 5cm. Flatten the bead to be crimped then make two knots at the edge of the bead with the threads to secure the threading. Start threading the beads... Here we alternated series of 6 beads and 9 natural beads (to give rhythm to the whole) with a cube bead between each series. For the last series we replaced the cube bead with a small cross charm. In the center of the necklace we placed a cube bead, a faceted bead, 15 washers 4mm, a bicone and again 15 washers, a faceted bead and a cube bead. Then go back symmetrically to assemble the other part of the necklace. At the end of the threading, place the bead to be crimped, an extension chain (about 3cm) then pass back through the bead to be crimped. Before tightening the bead, place the necklace in a curve in its final shape while keeping some flexibility. Make 2 knots at the edge of the bead to be crimped then cut the threads flush. |
