This jewel is very easy to make.

To begin, cut a cord to the size of your choice. Allow a little more length for all the knots.

To make threading the beads easier, you can use a twisted needle. Very practical! Thread the thread, then twist the needle to lock the thread, and cut the excess off flush. This needle ensures that the thread is not doubled when threading, so you can use a thread that is the right size for the holes in your beads. 

Make a simple knot on the thread. This will secure the beads. String the beads and then make a second knot at the edge of the beads. To help you position the knot correctly. Use a needle. Prick the needle into the thread at the edge of the bead then make the knot around the needle. Tighten the knot and remove the needle at the last minute.

Continue until you have placed as many beads as you like.

To close the necklace, you can either make a sliding knot, tie a knot to attach a clasp or use cord ties (to be glued and crushed).
