To start, measure your wrist and adjust the details below to your measurement. Here we start with a 17cm wrist. These bracelets should not be too tight on the wrist; they should have a loose drape. This way, the bangles will mix, the beads will move and create movement. Hold the brass thread with round-nose pliers about 2cm from the end. Position the round-nose pliers where the loop will be about 5/6mm in diameter. Indeed, your pliers are thinner at the tip and widen towards the handles. You will adjust the position depending on the desired loop size. Fold the thread around the pliers to form a loop, then hold the end of the thread with flat pliers and wrap the thread once at the base of the loop. Cut the excess flush. Be careful to hold your pliers gently; too much pressure tends to mark the thread! Then string the metal and cushion beads... Measure the brass thread and cut it 3cm longer than your wrist measurement. At the end of the thread, fold the thread 1cm from the edge to double it. Make sure to fold it well so it is perfectly against the bracelet thread. Then, using round-nose pliers, form a hook with the doubled threads. (Look carefully at the photo below to follow the thread's path). Slightly shape the threads to give them the shape of the wrist. Make as many bracelets as you want... for a great effect you can stack 5 or more!!!! |
