It's the must-have summer accessory! The spectacle chain is making a comeback, here as a real jewel with coloured beads, rosary chain and natural stones, in an acetate version... Today's tip: attach your assembly to a carabiner so you can easily change the chain to match all your outfits!

To make a beads assembly, cut a linhasita (or other) wire to the right length plus enough margin to make a knot. Attach the snap hook to one end of the wire with several knots. String the beads and then the second carabiner. Tie knots, keeping the assembly flexible. Cut the wire flush. For the rosary chain version, cut the chain to the length of your choice. Here we've taken 60cm of chain(which can even be worn as a necklace!) Connect the snap hooks at the ends with 4mm rings and add a pendant on one side for added style. For the fancy chain and beads version, cut the chain (approx. 50cm). Mount the beads on eye studs and form the loops. Then connect the beads studs to the chain and to the snap hooks. For the acetate chain, thread 8mm rings through the links at the ends, spreading the links slightly. Then insert the rings, with 4mm rings, place the carabiner clasps on the 8mm rings. To finish, attach the lobster clasps to the eyewear clips and change your style as you like! And voilà! Beautiful creation! Mix different materials and chain styles to create more contrast. You can even wear your chain as a necklace if you like - a real 2-in-1 piece of jewellery! |
