2 mm round bead strand in natural Peridot

A strand of about 37 cm of tiny round peridot beads, in a bright soft green. Polished and translucent, they let light through and take on yellow-green reflections that evoke young spring shoots.

Features:

  • Stone: natural peridot
  • Shape: round, polished
  • Size: about 2 mm
  • Hole: about 0.6 mm
  • Strand length: about 37 cm
  • Quantity: about 180 beads per strand
  • Color: soft green, yellow-green reflections
  • Treatment: none

This very small size is made for delicate jewellery: fine stacking bracelets, choker necklaces, beaded rings, embroidery, or discreet spacer beads. The fresh green of peridot goes very well with gold tones. The hole is fine, about 0.6 mm: a nylon thread or a 0.35 mm cable passes through easily.

A little gemology: peridot is the gem variety of olivine, a magnesium and iron silicate that crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. Unlike most gems, it owes its color not to traces of impurities, but to the iron that is part of its very composition: that is why it exists only in green. It forms deep within the Earth’s mantle and rises to the surface with certain lavas. It has even been found in meteorites. Hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. The main deposits are in Pakistan, the United States (Arizona), China, and Burma.

In lithotherapy: peridot is associated with the heart chakra. A stone of light in ancient Egypt, it is said to carry an energy of renewal, conducive to kindness and serenity.

100% natural product: the size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
