Strand of faceted round beads 2 mm in heated citrine, ombré

A strand of approximately 39 cm of tiny 2 mm faceted beads in citrine, strung in a color gradient: from pale yellow to honey tones, the hue gradually deepens along the thread. Despite their small size, the facets reflect a bright light.

Features:

  • Stone: citrine (heated natural amethyst)
  • Shape: faceted round
  • Size: approximately 2 mm
  • Hole: approximately 0.5 mm
  • Thread length: approximately 39 cm
  • Quantity: approximately 170 beads per thread
  • Color: gradient of yellows, from light to honey
  • Treatment: heated

This 2 mm size is made for delicate jewellery: fine bracelets, layered strands, choker necklaces, or embroidery. Mounted in the order of the thread, the gradient gives you a strand that gradually changes color. The hole is fine, about 0.5 mm: use a 0.2 to 0.3 mm nylon thread or beading thread with a fine needle.

A bit of gemology: citrine is a quartz (silicon dioxide, trigonal system) colored yellow by traces of iron. Its name comes from the word "lemon." Hardness 7 on the Mohs scale, density of about 2.65. Natural citrine is rare: most of the citrine found on the market, like this one, is obtained by heating amethyst, mined mainly in Brazil and Uruguay.

Good to know: to be fully transparent, these beads are heated natural amethyst. This heat treatment, used for a long time, changes purple to yellow in a stable way. Just avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which could eventually cause the color to fade.

In lithotherapy: citrine is associated with the solar plexus chakra. Nicknamed the sun stone, it is believed to promote joy, optimism, and creative energy.

Heated natural stone: the size, shape, color, and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. The dimensions and quantities are given as a guide.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
