Strand of 2,5 mm faceted round beads in natural multicolored Spinel

A thread of about 39 cm of tiny faceted spinel beads, in a mix of raspberry pink, garnet red, orange, lavender, midnight blue and anthracite grey. At this size, the facets make each bead sparkle like a tiny point of light.

Features:

  • Stone: multicolour natural spinel
  • Shape: faceted round
  • Size: about 2.5 mm
  • Hole: about 0.6 mm
  • Thread length: about 39 cm
  • Quantity: about 155 beads per thread
  • Colour: mix of pink, red, orange, lavender, blue and grey

This small size is made for delicate jewellery: stacked fine bracelets, choker necklaces, bead rings or embroidery. The hole is fine, about 0.6 mm: use 0.2 to 0.3 mm nylon thread, or beading thread with a fine needle.

A little gemology: spinel is a magnesium and aluminium oxide (MgAl₂O₄) that crystallizes in the cubic system. With a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, it is one of the most resistant gemstones, after corundum. It was long confused with ruby: the famous "Black Prince's Ruby", set in the British Imperial State Crown, is actually a spinel. Its colours come from traces of chromium (red, pink), iron or cobalt (blue, lavender). The main deposits are found in Burma, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Tajikistan.

In lithotherapy: spinel is nicknamed the "stone of renewal". It is credited with the ability to restore momentum and is associated with energy and perseverance. In its multicoloured version, it is linked to several chakras, first and foremost the root chakra.

100% natural product: the size, shape, colour and number of beads may vary slightly from one thread to another. The distribution of colours differs from one thread to another. Dimensions and quantities are given as a guide only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
