Strand of 5x3,6 mm natural Amazonite faceted rondelle beads

A strand of about 38 cm of faceted rondelles in amazonite, in a lagoon blue-green. From bead to bead, the shade shifts from vivid turquoise to milky sea green, sometimes with fine lighter streaks. The facets add a soft light to this naturally satin-finished stone.

Characteristics :

  • Stone : natural amazonite
  • Shape : faceted rondelle
  • Size : about 5x3,6 mm
  • Hole : about 0,8 mm
  • Thread length : about 38 cm
  • Quantity : about 108 beads per thread
  • Color : turquoise blue-green, variegated

The flattened rondelle fits easily between other beads and creates supple strands that drape well : bracelets, choker necklaces, sautoirs, or color spacer beads. Amazonite pairs just as well with gold as with silver. With a hole of about 0,8 mm, use 0,3 to 0,5 mm nylon thread, a 0,38 mm cable, or fine elastic thread. This amazonite is also available in a lot of 10 beads.

A bit of gemmology : amazonite is a variety of microcline, a potassium feldspar (aluminum and potassium silicate) that crystallizes in the triclinic system. Its blue-green color comes from traces of lead, activated over time by the natural radioactivity of the rocks. It has pronounced cleavage and a hardness of 6 to 6,5 on the Mohs scale: avoid impacts and store it separately. Its name evokes the Amazon River, even though no deposit has ever been found there. Today it mainly comes from Brazil, Russia, Madagascar, and Mozambique.

In lithotherapy : amazonite is nicknamed the "stone of harmony." It is associated with the heart and throat chakras, and is believed to have a soothing effect, promoting emotional balance and a calmer way of speaking.

100% natural product : size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one thread to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for information only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
