3 mm faceted cube bead strand in natural almandine garnet

A strand of about 38 cm of faceted cubes in almandine garnet, a deep burgundy red with violet highlights. On each cube, the faceted corners catch the light, while the heart of the stone remains dark and velvety.

Features:

  • Stone: natural almandine garnet
  • Shape: faceted cube
  • Size: about 3 x 3 mm
  • Hole: about 0.7 mm
  • Thread length: about 38 cm
  • Quantity: about 130 beads per strand
  • Color: burgundy red, violet highlights

The 3 mm cube gives the strand a clean, almost architectural structure: delicate bracelets, choker necklaces, layered strands with round beads or gold chains. With a hole of about 0.7 mm, use a 0.3 to 0.4 mm nylon thread or a fine cable. This almandine garnet is also available in a lot of 10 beads.

A bit of gemology: almandine is the most widespread of the garnets. It is an iron and aluminum silicate that crystallizes in the cubic system. The iron gives it its dark red color with violet tones, and also makes it one of the densest garnets: about 4.2, compared with 2.65 for quartz. Its hardness is 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. Its name is said to come from Alabanda, a city in Asia Minor where, according to Pliny the Elder, these stones were cut. It is mined notably in India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and Brazil.

In lithotherapy: almandine is associated with the root and sacral chakras. A grounding stone, it is believed to carry stable energy and is associated with perseverance and self-confidence.

100% natural product: size, shape, shade and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for information only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
