Heishi rondelle bead strand 6.6 x 2.5mm in natural Carnelian

Approximately 38 cm strand of natural carnelian heishi disc beads, containing about 146 beads. A gradient of orange, from the lightest to the deepest, in a flat, even shape that threads closely.

Features:

  • Stone: natural carnelian (chalcedony)
  • Shape: heishi disc (flat donut)
  • Size: approximately 6.6 mm in diameter
  • Thickness: approximately 2.5 mm
  • Hole: approximately 1.2 mm
  • Thread length: approximately 38 cm
  • Quantity: approximately 146 beads per strand
  • Color: shades from light orange to dark orange

The generous 1.2 mm hole accepts most bead threads, nylon thread, and thin cords. Ideal for close threading for a bracelet or choker necklace, as spacers between round beads or gold jewelry findings. Also available in a lot of 20 beads.

A bit of gemology: carnelian belongs to the chalcedony family, the microcrystalline quartzes. Its color, from orangey red to reddish brown, is attributed to iron. Hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale: a sturdy stone that stands up well to everyday wear. Main deposits: Brazil, India, Uruguay.

Good to know: like the vast majority of carnelians on the market, these beads are chalcedonies whose color has been revealed by heat treatment, a traditional and time-tested practice.

100% natural product: size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for reference only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
