Strand of faceted flattened round beads 6 mm in natural tiger's eye

A strand of about 38 cm of round, flattened, faceted tiger's eye beads. On a honey-brown base, golden bands light up and fade with the movement: this silky sheen gives each bead the look of capturing light from within.

Features:

  • Stone: natural tiger's eye
  • Shape: round, flattened, faceted
  • Size: about 6 to 6.5 x 6 mm
  • Thickness: about 3.5 to 4 mm
  • Hole: about 1 mm
  • Thread length: about 38 cm
  • Quantity: about 52 beads per strand
  • Color: golden brown, honey highlights

Their flat profile makes them comfortable on the wrist and lets them sit snugly against one another without bulk: a single-row bracelet, a choker necklace, or spacer beads between round beads. The hole of about 1 mm accepts a nylon thread up to 0.8 mm, a cable, or a fine elastic thread. These same beads are also available in a pack of 10 for a more occasional creation.

A little gemology: tiger's eye is a quartz, silicon dioxide (SiO₂) from the trigonal system, that has replaced an older mineral, crocidolite, fiber by fiber. The quartz has retained its fibrous structure, and the iron oxides deposited between the fibers give it its golden color. Hardness 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, density about 2.65. The reference deposits are found in South Africa, in Griqualand; it is also mined in Australia, Namibia, and India.

In lithotherapy: tiger's eye is associated with the solar plexus chakra. It is credited with a protective role, and is said to encourage self-confidence and decision-making.

100% natural product: the size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. The dimensions and quantities are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
