What are you looking for?

5 mm strand of faceted round beads in natural Lepidolite

A strand of approximately 38 cm of round faceted beads in lepidolite, blending pale lilac, rosy mauve, and touches of deep violet. In the light, the facets reveal fine pearly sparkles, a hallmark of this rare mica.

Characteristics:

  • Stone: natural lepidolite
  • Shape: faceted round
  • Size: approximately 5 mm
  • Hole: approximately 0.8 mm
  • Strand length: approximately 38 cm
  • Quantity: approximately 76 beads per thread
  • Color: lilac to violet, variegated

Their 5 mm size is ideal for elastic bracelets, mid-length necklaces, and dangling earrings. Lepidolite’s violet pairs with silver for a fresh look, with gold for a warmer note, and with rose quartz or amethyst in tonal harmony.

A little gemology: lepidolite is a mica from the phyllosilicate family, rich in lithium, with an approximate formula K(Li,Al)₃(Al,Si,Rb)₄O₁₀(F,OH)₂. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, in thin stacked layers. Pure mineral is soft (2.5 to 3 on the Mohs scale, density of about 2.8); when cut into beads, lepidolite appears as compact rock, often associated with quartz, which gives it support. Its pink to violet color is due to manganese. Its name comes from the Greek lepidos, “scale,” in reference to its layered structure. It is mainly mined in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, and Zimbabwe; it is also one of the historic lithium ores.

Good to know: lepidolite is sensitive to impacts and household products. Remove your jewelry before showering or exercising and clean it with a soft cloth.

In lithotherapy: lepidolite is associated with the third eye and crown chakras. Nicknamed the “stone of peace,” it is said to promote calm, help with sleep, and let go.

The thread you will receive: the photos and video show a thread from the batch your order comes from. Shade, inclusions, and nuances are therefore representative of what you will receive; since each stone is natural, slight variations from one bead to another are part of its character.

100% natural product: the size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one thread to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
