2 mm faceted round bead strand in natural emerald

A strand of approximately 38 cm of small round faceted natural emerald beads, in a soft milky green, between sea green and celadon. Their small size creates a fine and precious strand, where the color varies from bead to bead.

Characteristics:

  • Stone: natural emerald, untreated
  • Quality: ornamental (opaque)
  • Shape: round faceted
  • Size: approximately 2 mm
  • Hole: approximately 0.4 mm
  • Strand length: approximately 38 cm
  • Quantity: approximately 190 beads per strand
  • Color: opaque soft green

These micro-beads are ideal for very fine necklaces, layered bracelets, beaded rings, and delicate earring finishes. They pair beautifully with gold tones and mother-of-pearl. Fine 0.4 mm hole: plan on 0.25 to 0.35 mm nylon thread.

A little gemology: emerald is the green variety of beryl, Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈, colored by chromium and sometimes vanadium. It crystallizes in the hexagonal system, has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, and a density of about 2.7. Rich in inclusions, this ornamental-grade emerald offers a soft, milky green, far from the transparency of jewelry stones, but with the same composition. Its name goes back to the Greek smaragdos, “green stone.” The most renowned deposits are found in Colombia, Brazil, Zambia, and Afghanistan.

Good to know: these beads are not dyed; their green is the stone's natural color. This is useful to know, since many "emeralds" sold as beads are dyed beryls. Avoid impacts and ultrasonic baths, and clean with a soft cloth.

In lithotherapy: emerald is associated with the heart chakra. A stone of Venus in antiquity, it is said to bring harmony, fidelity, and wisdom.

The strand you will receive: the photos and video show a strand from the lot your order comes from. The color, inclusions, and nuances are therefore representative of what you will receive; since each stone is natural, slight variations from bead to bead are part of its character.

100% natural product: the size, shape, color, and number of beads may vary slightly from one strand to another. Dimensions and quantities are given as a guide.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
