Lot of 10 faceted flattened round beads 6 mm in natural tiger's eye

Ten tiger's eye beads, round and flattened, faceted cut. Their deep brown is streaked with gold and honey bands that glide across the stone as soon as you turn it between your fingers.

Features:

  • Stone: natural tiger's eye
  • Shape: flattened round, faceted
  • Size: approximately 6 to 6.5 x 6 mm
  • Thickness: approximately 3.5 to 4 mm
  • Hole: approximately 1 mm
  • Quantity: lot of 10 beads
  • Color: golden brown, honey highlights

A lot designed for a pair of earrings, a few drops or a central motif on a finer bead necklace. Their slim thickness makes them light to wear in the ear. With an approximately 1 mm hole, head pins, nylon thread or fine cable pass through easily. For a bracelet or a complete necklace, these beads are also offered in a strand of about 38 cm.

A bit of gemology: the effect that made this stone famous has a name, chatoyance, from the word “cat”: a band of light, similar to the slit pupil of a feline, that moves across the surface of the stone. It is born from thousands of parallel quartz fibers, inherited from an ancient crocidolite, which reflect light in a single direction. The quartz gives it its hardness, 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale; the iron oxides, its golden brown color. South Africa remains the main producing country.

In lithotherapy: long worn as a talisman, tiger's eye is linked to the solar plexus chakra. It is associated with grounding, courage, and a form of calm vigilance.

100% natural product: size, shape and shade may vary slightly from one bead to another. Dimensions are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
