Bead strand donut rondelles 6,5 x 2,5 mm in natural red jasper

A thread of approximately 38 cm of fine flat red jasper rondelles, in a deep brick red with slightly varying shades from bead to bead. Strung side by side, they form a dense, even row, like a strip of terracotta.

Features:

  • Stone: natural red jasper
  • Shape: flat rondelle (donut)
  • Size: approximately 6.5 mm in diameter
  • Thickness: approximately 2.5 mm
  • Hole: approximately 1.1 mm
  • Thread length: approximately 38 cm
  • Quantity: approximately 148 beads per thread
  • Color: brick red

Their flat profile is ideal for stackable bracelets, choker necklaces, and spacers between larger beads. The approximately 1.1 mm hole fits elastic thread, wire, or thin cord. For a smaller quantity, these same beads are available in packs of 20.

A bit of gemology: jasper is a microcrystalline siliceous rock from the quartz family (SiO₂), containing impurities that can make up to 20% of its mass. Its red color comes from hematite inclusions, an iron oxide finely dispersed through the material. Opaque, with a vitreous to waxy luster when polished, it has a conchoidal fracture, a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, and a density of approximately 2.6: a robust stone that holds up well to everyday wear. Its name comes from the Greek iaspis, itself borrowed from Semitic languages. The main deposits are found in India, Brazil, South Africa, and Madagascar.

In lithotherapy: red jasper is associated with the root chakra and is believed to have grounding, endurance, and protection properties. A stone for long-term efforts, it is traditionally used to support those seeking stability and consistency.

100% natural product: the size, shape, shade, and number of beads may vary slightly from one thread to another. Dimensions and quantities are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
