Waxed polyester from Brazil
Linhasita thread is the go-to for micro-macramé and sliding-knot bracelets: a waxed polyester that holds knots, doesn't fray and finishes neatly with a flame.
Four diameters, from 0.35 to 1 mm, on a spool or as a 10-metre cut to try a colour.

On spools
0.5 mm is the most used for micro-macramé; 1 mm gives bolder cords and bracelets.

Very fine, for delicate bracelets and small beads.

Guide
| Diameter | What for | Compatible beads | Spool |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.35 mm | Very fine micro-macramé, delicate bracelets | Small beads, 15/0 seed beads | 448 m |
| 0.5 mm | Micro-macramé, sliding bracelets | Beads with 0.6 mm holes and up, Miyuki 11/0 | 335 m |
| 0.75 mm | Bolder bracelets and necklaces | 8/0 seed beads, beads from 4 to 8 mm | 250 m |
| 1 mm | Cords, necklaces, chunky bracelets | Large-hole beads | 180 m |
Spool or cut? A 10 m cut lets you try a colour or make a few bracelets. A spool is more economical once you use the same shade often.
Always test that the thread goes through a bead before starting your pattern.

Why Linhasita
From Brazil, Linhasita thread is a lightly waxed polyester. The wax makes knots "grip" without sticking to your fingers: patterns stay even, even on a bracelet worn every day.

FAQ
0.5 mm is the most common: it's fine enough to go through small beads and strong enough for the sliding knot. Choose 1 mm for a more visible cord.
Cut the thread 1 or 2 mm from the knot, then bring a lighter flame close without touching the thread: the polyester melts into a tiny ball that locks the knot. If needed, press with the back of your scissor blade to flatten it.
Yes: 0.5 mm goes through beads with holes of 0.6 mm or more, including Miyuki Delica and 11/0 seed beads. For 15/0, choose 0.35 mm.
A 10 m cut is for trying a colour or making a few bracelets. A spool (335 m in 0.5 mm) is much cheaper per metre if you often use the same shade.
Linhasita is polyester: it doesn't stretch, doesn't fray and finishes with a flame. Waxed cotton has a more matte look and is usually finished with a dot of glue.
