What if your jewelry said something? With a single gold-plated brass thread and one gesture, you trace a word as you would write it by hand. Here, it’s “love” — a simple word, to wear for yourself or to give as a gift. No model seen a thousand times: this one, you write it yourself.

For those who love jewelry with meaning — and who seek a piece you won’t find elsewhere, because it’s handmade, letter by letter.

Necessary tools: round-nose pliers, flat pliers, wire cutters — and the printed template (below).
We prepared a template of the word "love" at actual size (Sacramento font), in three widths: 40, 50, and 60 mm. Print it at 100% — without "fit to page" — to keep the correct proportions, then slide it under your thread to follow the outline.

Start by cutting about 40 cm of gold-plated brass thread. Place your printed template in front of you and start the word about 15 cm from the end: this reserve will then be used to attach the beads and the clasp.
For each curve, use round-nose pliers. The tip: don’t rotate the pliers, but push the thread around the tip. The thread follows the curve without marking — this keeps a clean and consistent line.
When the design requires you to go back over your steps, switch to flat-nose pliers to make a sharp, clean fold. Depending on where the thread has already passed, pass it in front or behind: this crossing play creates the “cursive writing” effect.
Keep the template in sight throughout the writing. Regularly compare your letters to position the pliers correctly and maintain a consistent height.

Once the word is finished, string your natural beads on each side, then measure the length on your wrist to adjust your bracelet.
On one side, form a loop 2 mm from the last bead, then wrap the thread two turns between the bead and the loop.
On the other side, bend the thread about 1.5 cm, return towards the bead and wrap two turns close to it. Finish by folding the end with round-nose pliers to form a small hook. Loop on one side, hook on the other: your clasp is integrated, with no additional jewelry finding.
The secret to a successful word lies in two things: consistency and patience. Always keep the same pressure on the pliers and check each letter on the template before continuing. The brass straightens and can be reshaped without breaking — if a curve displeases you, you can redo a letter without undoing everything.

A handwritten word, worn on the wrist — for yourself or as a gift.
