Sakura Earrings

Symbol of beauty and life, one cannot resist this poetic jewelry adorned with small Sakura flowers...

For this creation you need:
acrylic flowers Miyuki 11/0 seed beads 2 closed rings 40mm copper wire a pair of sleeper earrings

The tools to use:
pliers for jewelry making

Step 1:

To start, cut a piece of copper wire about 50cm long.

Be careful, when working with copper wire avoid using pliers or twisting the wire.

Step 2:
Wrap one end of the thread around the ring. Make several turns to secure it well then cut the excess thread flush.

Step 3:

Next, thread an acrylic flower then a seed bead and pass back through the flower.

Hold the flower firmly against the ring before pulling the thread.

Wrap the thread around the ring then continue like this with the other flowers...

Tip: don’t worry if your first flowers are not perfectly positioned. You can go over them again with the thread to adjust and place new flowers in between. They will naturally settle as you go.

Step 4:

Once you have as many flowers as you want, turn the work over.

Continue with the thread, this time placing a seed bead at each pass.

This will dress the back of the loop and give the impression of small flower buds.

Once back at the starting point, wrap the thread a little around the ring then cut the thread flush.

Step 5:

To finish, gently open the ring located at the bottom of the leverback then insert the ring. Close the loop properly.

Tip: always open a spiral ring, never outward! For earrings, always open the ring just enough to pass your element through, otherwise you risk breaking it.
