Sakura Earrings

Symbolising beauty and life, we can't resist this poetic piece of jewellery adorned with little Sakura flowers...

You will need :
acrylic flowers Miyuki seed beads 11/0 2 closed rings 40mm copper wire a pair of BO sleepers

Tools to be used :
jewellery clips

Step 1:

To begin, cut a piece of copper wire about 50cm long.

When working with copper wire, be careful not to use pliers or twist the wire.

Step 2:
Wrap one end of the thread around the ring. Make several turns to secure it, then cut the excess thread off flush.

Step 3:

Next, thread on an acrylic flower, then a seed pearl and iron through the flower.

Hold the flower firmly against the ring before pulling the thread.

Wrap the thread around the ring and continue with the other flowers...

Tip: don't worry if your first flowers aren't perfectly positioned. You can go back over them with the wire and place new flowers in between. They will naturally fall into place as you go along.

Etape 4:

Once you have as many flowers as you like, turn the work over.

Continue with the wire, this time placing a seed pearl at each point.

This will dress up the back of the bow and give the impression of little flower buds.

Once you're back at the starting point, wrap the thread around the ring a little and then cut the thread flush.

Step 5:

Finally, carefully open the ring at the bottom of the sleeper and insert the ring. Close the buckle securely.

Tip: always open a ring in a spiral, never outwards! On earrings, always open the hoop as little as possible to pass your element through, otherwise you risk breaking it.
