A band ring, a white mother-of-pearl cabochon, and a row of faceted garnet beads wrapped on a gold-plated brass thread. The gesture is very simple — a thread twisted on each side of the stone — but the result looks like a crafted piece. The mother-of-pearl brings its soft light, the garnet its deep red. The perfect jewelry to start with the cabochon ring and enjoy it.

For those who want a first statement ring, no crimping pliers or complex technique — just a beautiful gesture to repeat.
Necessary tools: wire cutters, jewelry glue (strong glue or resin type).
Start by gluing the mother-of-pearl cabochon onto the ring band base. Place a small drop of jewelry glue in the center of the jewelry finding, position the mother-of-pearl flat, and let dry for a few minutes — this is the ring base, so it needs to be perfectly stable.
Next, cut a length of flexible gold-plated brass thread (about 15 centimeters is enough). Wrap two or three tight turns around the band, then 2 turns on the edge around the thread where the beads will be strung. Cut the excess flush and flatten with flat pliers.
Then string your garnet beads, alternating with a gold-plated brass grooved washer to make the color pop. Arrange the row around the mother-of-pearl until you get the length you like. Here I used 5 garnet beads alternating with 4 gold washers.
To finish, wrap the gold-plated brass thread on the other side of the cabochon, two or three tight turns there as well, then two turns between the bead and the band, then cut the excess flush. Tuck the thread tip under the coils with flat pliers so it doesn’t poke. The garnet row is secured on each side: your ring is ready.
Be careful during this assembly to tighten the thread well to prevent the row from moving too much.
