To start, cut a piece of brass thread about 25cm.

Using round-nose pliers, form a loop about 4cm from the edge. Adjust the size of the loop to the chosen chain. If you chose a fine chain, make a discreet loop.

Now cut your chain to the length of your choice.

Be careful, we use a piece of chain per earring that will be folded in two. The earring finding will be connected to the center of the chain. This allows a stronger assembly and a smoother drape. So make sure to have a symmetrical number of links for rosary chains or chains with fancy links.

Connect the chain to the previously created loop. 

Then, hold the created loop with pliers and wrap the small thread 2 turns around the longer thread. Make sure to make the "twist" right at the edge of the loop with a neat finish in a tight spiral. Cut the excess thread flush and flatten the cut with flat pliers.

Now thread 22 drop beads.

Tighten the threading of drop beads well to form a pretty cluster. Do not leave any play between the beads.

Hold the threading tightly then form a loop close to the last bead.

Thread the other end of the chain through the loop, making sure the chain does not twist!

Hold the loop with pliers then wrap the thread between the last bead and the loop for 2 turns. Cut the excess thread flush.

To finish, depending on the chosen earring finding, use a jump ring to connect the finding to the center of the chain.

For fine chains (rosaries, fashion...), use a 3mm ring.

For the XL oval link chain, use a 5mm ring.

If the finding already has a ring or a loop, do not add a jump ring!

Repeat the steps for the second earring.
