Threads for jewelry
|
This earring features a pretty crystal Quartz stone whose transparency plays with the sun rays. We paired it with small Miyuki beads to add a touch of color. A modern piece of jewelry so current you can also make it as a bracelet or even a long necklace.

To start, open a 4mm ring and thread 3 Miyuki beads. Place the ring around the pendant then close it properly using 2 flat pliers. Repeat this step to place 6 rings per pendant, making sure to position them symmetrically relative to the pendant rings. This creates small clusters of beads. Then cut a brass thread about 15cm long and fold it in two with round-nose pliers to form a small loop. Thread a Miyuki bead onto the thread then twist the threads to lock the bead in the loop. Thread the Quartz bead onto the threads. With one of the threads, form a loop at the top of the bead, thread the pendant ring into the loop, then wrap the thread around the loop twice. This closes and secures the loop. Cut the thread flush. With the remaining thread, fold it towards the loop at the bottom of the Quartz bead, wrap it once between the loop and the bead, then bring it back up crossing the thread to form an X on the bead. Finally, wrap the thread between the top of the bead and the loop. Cut the thread flush. Then open the earring ring and attach the pendant.
