Here is the technique to braid on a chain.

For this project you need:

chain or an old bracelet

suede, threads or Liberty...

The tools to use:
	hair clips

Step 1:

Start by tying a knot with your cords and separate them into two strands.

Place the hair clips.

Step 2:

From underneath the chain, thread the first cord.

Pass the second over the first.

Step 3:

Always from underneath the chain, thread the second cord.

Then rPass the first cord over the first one.

Step 4:

Thread it through the second stitch.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the following stitches.

And there you go!
