To start, cut a nylon thread about 30cm long. Thread a crimp bead then pass the thread through the chain link. Pass back through the crimp bead, bring it towards the link then flatten it. Thread the oval beads interspersed with gold rondelle beads. Measure the length of the bead threading only. Subtract this measurement from the desired necklace length then divide the result by 2. This gives you the length of the 2 chains. Here we made a 40cm necklace. Adjust the chain already connected to the beads then cut a 2nd piece of chain to the same length. Now, thread a crimp bead, place the chain and pass back through the bead. Pull the thread to tighten the threading then flatten the bead. On one of the chains, attach the clasp; its ring is open which allows you to hook it directly. This chain has links wide enough for the clasp to attach directly. You don't need to add an extension chain. Your jewelry is finished! Beautiful creation! |
