Fall for our new earrings made of mother-of-pearl beads decorated with wrapped brass wire.

This is the opportunity to try your hand at the wrapping technique, which involves dressing a bead with a brass wire; it's not very complicated to do and allows you to further personalize your creations!

For this project, you will need:
2 pairs of gold-plated stud earrings in 24K gold drop-shaped mother-of-pearl beads flower pendants Gold plated with 24K gold soft brass wire 0.7mm Gold plated with 24K gold

The tools to use:

This jewelry is not complicated to make. Follow the assembly video below and the assembly instructions.

The assembly:

To start, cut a piece of brass wire about 15cm long.

At one end of the wire, form a simple loop with round-nose pliers. Try to make a small and discreet loop.

Then, thread the flower pendant into the loop. Hold the loop with flat pliers and with another pair of pliers, wrap the wire around the edge of the loop for 2 turns. Cut the excess wire flush and flatten the wire with flat pliers to prevent any end from sticking out.

Thread the bead onto the wire and make a simple loop at the top of the bead.

Place the earring in the created loop and hold the loop with pliers.

With the other hand, wrap the wire in a spiral, first just below the loop, then go down around the bead. To secure the wire, make 2 turns at the bottom of the bead.

Cut the excess flush and flatten the wire with pliers.

With this method, you can create a clean spiral or increase the number of turns on the bead!
