Dive into the organic trend with our new tutorial! Discover how to transform natural gemstone beads with irregular shapes into elegant rosary chains for earrings. Mounted on a flexible wire, these beads capture light and reveal all their raw beauty. To inspire you, I imagined 5 unique variations, each highlighting a different stone: Feldspar, Strawberry Quartz, Garnet, Aquamarine, and Amazonite. A range of refined styles, perfect for enhancing your outfits and revealing your creative spirit. Find all the step-by-step explanations below.

The assembly: |

To start, choose your beads and pendants. Here I chose small-sized pendants to enhance the cascade of beads. On the Amazonite version, I opted for a navette pendant that extends the cascade. Lay your beads flat trying to position the largest ones at the top and the smallest towards the bottom of the assembly. Play with the different irregular shapes to create a natural and organic look. Cut a piece of brass wire about 50cm long. Form a first wrapped loop making sure to place the pendant in the loop before closing it. For a nice finish, I make 2 turns of wire for each loop and then cut the wire flush on the back. To create discreet loops, use the thinnest tip of the round pliers!
Now thread the first bead onto the wire and make a wrapped loop on top of the bead. Cut the wire flush and slightly flatten the cut end of the wire to prevent it from snagging. Make a new wrapped loop on the wire incorporating your previous assembly before wrapping the wire. Thread the bead and then make the loop on top. Continue the assembly until you create a nice rosary chain of 5 beads.
To finish, after making the last loop on the top of the 5th bead, thread the earring hook through the loop. Secure the assembly by tightening the hook of the earring loop.
Repeat the operation for the second loop. Your jewel is finished! Beautiful creation! |
