Irregular natural pearl thread in strawberry quartz

Strand of irregular natural strawberry quartz beads about 38 cm long, containing approximately 56 beads measuring 4 to 6 mm. Polished free-form shapes in a raspberry pink scattered with coppery inclusions: no bead is identical to its neighbor.

Features:

  • Stone: natural strawberry quartz
  • Shape: polished irregular bead
  • Size: about 4 to 6 mm
  • Hole: 0.8 mm
  • Thread length: about 38 cm
  • Quantity: about 56 beads per strand
  • Color: raspberry pink with coppery inclusions

The 0.8 mm hole accommodates a 0.60 to 0.65 mm nylon thread in a single pass, a 0.35 mm thread if the thread needs to pass through twice, and 0.5 mm elastic for a bracelet. The free-form shape creates a natural, organic look: ideal for a bracelet, a necklace worn as is, or loose pieces on studs and chain.

A little gemology: strawberry quartz is a natural quartz whose color does not come from the crystal itself, but from what it encloses: fine inclusions of iron oxides — hematite, lepidocrocite, or goethite — in flakes and needles, which give it this speckled raspberry pink and these coppery highlights. Each bead shows a different scattering of inclusions. Hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, like all quartz: a sturdy stone for everyday wear. Main deposits: Brazil, Madagascar, Mexico, Kazakhstan.

100% natural product: as the beads are irregular by nature, the size, shape, shade, and number of beads vary from strand to strand. The dimensions and quantities are given as an indication.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
