Lot of 4 faceted triangle beads 6,5-7 x 8-9 mm in natural Epidote-included Prehnite

Four triangle beads in prehnite, a translucent aqua green crossed by fine dark green epidote needles. Some beads are almost clear, others densely webbed: each one draws its own landscape.

Characteristics :

  • Stone : natural prehnite with epidote needles
  • Shape : faceted triangle, irregular size
  • Size : about 6.5 to 7 mm wide by 8 to 9 mm high
  • Thickness : about 5 mm
  • Hole : about 0.6 mm
  • Drilling : at one of the triangle's points, to be mounted like a drop
  • Quantity : lot of 4 beads
  • Color : translucent soft green, dark green inclusions
  • Origin : selected in Jaipur, India, by Sébastien, certified in gemology

Tip : Drilled at one of the points, these beads are used like drops: strung or suspended, they hang with the point up and the base of the triangle down.

Drilled at one of the points, these beads are used like drops: strung or suspended, they hang with the point up and the base of the triangle down. The fresh green of prehnite pairs as well with gold as with silver: as drops on leverback earrings, as a fringe on a choker, or mixed with small mother-of-pearl beads. With a hole of about 0.6 mm, use fine nylon thread, a fine cable, or fine head pins.

A bit of gemology : prehnite is a hydrous calcium aluminum silicate that crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. Hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, density of about 2.9. Described in 1788 from samples brought back from the Cape of Good Hope by the Dutch colonel Hendrik von Prehn, it is one of the very first minerals to bear a person's name. The dark needles in these beads are epidote, another silicate that crystallized at the same time. Main deposits : Australia, Mali, South Africa and China.

Good to know : the epidote inclusions are entirely natural and add to the value of this variety. Since prehnite is a little less hard than quartz, store these beads away from friction and clean them with a soft cloth.

In lithotherapy : prehnite is associated with the heart chakra. It is credited with soothing and acceptance properties; epidote, it is said, would reinforce grounding.

The beads you will receive : the photos and the video show the strands from which our lots come. Hand-cut, these triangle beads are not calibrated: each lot of 4 brings together slightly different shapes and heights, with the natural variations of prehnite. It is precisely this irregularity that gives your creations their unique character.

100% natural product : size, shape and color may vary from one bead to another. Dimensions are given for guidance only.

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Guide to good practices for caring for your jewelry

Few objects are imperishable and last over time. Your jewelry, regardless of price or composition, will live with you and thus show signs of aging. This is perfectly normal and does not call the quality into question.

Here are some tips to keep them in the best condition for as long as possible.

  • Remove your jewelry before washing, bathing, and during beauty routines (cream, perfume...). This will help preserve the gold plating in good condition and not damage the Gemstones. Rest assured, the Prémium Perles Corner metals are of very good quality and will survive occasional exposure to water.
  • Avoid chemical products. Contrary to what one might think, doing the dishes, swimming in chlorinated water... does not go well with metals and stones.
  • Be sure to store your jewelry properly. When you are not wearing them, we recommend storing your jewelry in a case, a suede pouch, a zip bag, and especially not in a humid room like the bathroom.
  • Clean your jewelry with soapy water. Avoid chemical products or toothpaste, which could be too harsh for metals and stones. Regular maintenance, once a month, is sufficient. Be sure to dry them well afterward.

In conclusion, your jewelry, like all things, are objects that need attention and respect so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. With these few tips, they should accompany you for years!
