Extending the links in a chain

With this tutorial, discover a trick to easily position a ring on a very thin chain.

This technique will give the link a round shape, making it easier to insert the ring.

Tools to Use:

 flat-nose pliers
 Reamer

Explanations:

To do this, use a reamer or nail. Insert it into the link to be widened, then gently deform the ring.

This will become round, making it easier to position the ring.

Be careful not to apply too much force, which could weaken the link.

This technique can only be used on chains with welded links.

And voilà!
