Rosary Gem Mix Choker Necklace

TUTORIEL VIDEO

With this new creation, discover how to easily make a beaded chain, also known as a rosary chain, by mixing different natural stone beads.

In this video tutorial, you'll learn the classic technique for assembling a rosary chain and how to use it with the beads of your choice.

An ideal tutorial for beginners or experienced designers.

Beautiful creation!

You will need :

0.4mm brass wire Gilded with 24K fine gold approx. 1m50
Gemstone beads in various sizes, shapes and colours
a clasp Gilded with 24K fine gold

Tools to be used :

flat-nose pliers
round-nose pliers
wire cutters

Assembly:

This creation is not very complicated to make, just follow the explanations below and the visuals to reproduce this model faithfully. Our video below shows you the basic technique used.

The advantages: this assembly is very solid, with no junction rings connecting the different elements. The coiled loops cannot open by themselves. The chain is fluid.

To begin, attach the clasp to one end of the brass wire and form a coiled loop..

Now start assembling the beads using the rosary chain technique.

Continue cutting until you reach the desired length. Here we've made a 40cm long choker to fall just above the collarbones. I advise you to measure the length of the chain at each stage. This will allow you to position the beads correctly according to their shape and shade, and also to adjust the length perfectly to your neck size.

You can make this model into a bracelet or a longer necklace.

To finish, place the clasp part, still using the coiled loop method.

Your jewellery is finished!

Beautiful creation!
