To begin, cut 2 pieces of chain. The first about 7cm long and the second about 8.5cm long. With this chain, you can hook the carabiner directly into the links, allowing you to easily adjust your bracelet without adding an extension chain. Next, cut a 20cm brass wire. Form a loop at one end, leaving about 1.5cm of wire. Thread the chain link into the loop, then wind the small thread (1.5cm) around the bottom of the loop for 2 turns. Trim the excess flush. String a Miyuki bead, a toupie bead, the Quartz bead and then, in symmetry, the toupie and the Miyuki bead. Next, form a loop 1mm from the last bead threaded, then form a loop. Thread the other chain, then wrap the wire around the edge of the loop for 2 turns. This makes for a very strong hook! Next, to decorate the Quartz bead, take a piece of brass wire, and wind one end of the wire around 1 turn between the spinning top bead and the Quartz bead. Cross the wire over the bead, then pass behind the other spinner. Cross the wire back over the bead and pass behind the spinner again. Go straight down to the other router, pass behind it and then straight back up to the router. Wrap the wire once, then cut flush. You should get an X on the bead and 2 straight threads on the edges of the X. Finally, connect the carabiner to the shorter chain with a 4mm ring.
