Berlingot Miyuki Earrings

Fall for our new colorful, tangy earrings, made with Miyuki beads mounted using the Brick stitch technique.

A meticulous creation that will enable you to apprehend decreases and increases. You can then shape the weave to create this superb berlingot of pearls!

A great achievement!

For this creation, you will need:

2 sleeper earring holders 24K gold-plated wire
Miyuki Délica 11/0 beads
weaving stands for 4mm cabochons
2 cabochons 4mm Gemstones

Tools to Use:

Miyuki nylon thread
a beading needle
of UHU glue

This jewel is not very complicated to make. Follow the instructions below to learn the basic weaving techniques, and look closely at the visuals to follow the rows of beads.

Assembly:

To begin, cut a wire approximately 1.5 meters long. I prefer to take a little longer on this type of assembly, as a connection in the middle can be complex and rather annoying!

Thread the thread through the eye of the needle.

Now we'll start weaving with the largest row of the first purple triangle.

Assemble a first row of 11 beads, keeping half the thread to work on the bottom of the weave afterwards.

Continue the 2nd row with an invisible taper. Your 2nd row thus consists of 10 beads.

Make the 3rd row of 9 beads, still decreasing in size, and replace a bead in the center of the row with the weaving pendant.

Continue with this method to create a triangle. Stop at 2 beads for the tip of the triangle.

Now start again at the bottom of the triangle with the thread you set aside at the beginning.

Create a row with an invisible decrease, then an increasing row, a decreasing row and an increasing row again.

Change bead color.

Make one row decrease, then one increase.

Then continue the triangle in invisible reduction and stop with 2 beads for the tip.

Now join the 2 points together, weaving the beads around the edge and remembering to place the earring holder as the thread passes through. This way, the backing will be woven directly to the edge of the beads. Make 2 passes through the beads and the backing.

Then lower the thread into a few beads to block the weave.

Finally, glue the cabochon in its holder.

Repeat for the other earring.

Your jewelry is finished!

Beautiful creation!
