Just like your home, your crystals need cleansing to rid them of bad energy and strengthen their energetic vibrations. We often feel better in a clean, clutter-free space, as if purified and more inclined to rest. Your crystals are no different, constantly accumulating energies and needing more regular cleansing depending on their use and the energy surrounding them.

And remember to clean them when you buy them, as they've been through a lot of hands.

There are several cleaning methods, so choose the one that suits you best...

Cleaning methods :

With clear water:

You can immerseyour crystals in clear water, preferably bottled water to avoid lime deposits and other pollutants that could damage your crystals.

Immerse your stone in water for 5 to 10 minutes to purify it, then leave it to dry on a natural cloth (cotton, linen, etc.). The best way is to immerse it in river water, but that's not always easy in the city!

Sun and Moon:

Simply place your crystals outside to enjoy the sun and moonlight. A little nature bath, like a return to the source. Leave them to recharge for 2 to 3 hours, but be careful not to put them on when the sun is too intense and too hot. Your crystals will be better purified and recharged on evenings when the Moon is full!

If you don't have an outdoor space, place them on a windowsill!

Smoke:

Burning a stick of Palo Santo or dried white sage will purify your interior and your crystals at the same time. You can even immerse your crystal in the smoke to take full advantage of the benefits! Just remember to air your room thoroughly!

On a crystal bed :

A simple method consists of placing your crystal for 24 hours on a bed of Quartz crystal.. You can fill a saucer with small splinters, a pretty decoration that will serve as a resting place for your crystal. You can also use this method with Selenite and Amethyst. These 2 crystals have the ability to charge and purify other crystals.

Back to earth:

Just like us, our crystals need to get back to their roots! They come from the earth, so a little immersion in clean, pure soil will do them a world of good. Of course, this method is ideal if you're out in the countryside. Avoid the potting soil!
