To begin, cut the chain to the length of your choice, here we've taken a 38cm chain. Pin the chain to a board or cork mat to make assembly easier! Then cut a nylon thread about 1 metre long and thread the needle. Tie a series of knots on the 3rd link of the chain, making sure to tighten the knots. Now it's time to mount the beads. String 9 beads, then count 5 links and thread the needle through the 6th. The curve of beads forms... Thread 9 beads of a different color again, then count 5 links and thread the needle through the 6th link. Continue until you reach the end of the chain. If you wish, you can replace the seed beads in the center with small mother-of-pearl pearls. Finally, connect the extension chain and the clasp to the ends of the chain with 3mm rings. And there you have it! Beautiful creation! |
