To begin, cut a 10cm brass wire. Cut 2 pieces of chain about 5cm long. Thread the bead drop and cross the threads at the top of the drop. Twist one of the 2 wires onto the other for 2 turns, then trim the excess flush. If necessary, flatten the cut with flat-nose pliers.
Now take a pair of round-nosed pliers and form a small loop with the remaining wire. Insert the chain before final assembly.
Secure the loop with flat pliers, then wind the wire between the tip of the drop and the loop for several turns. Make as many turns as you like, to dress up the top of the bead and add a pretty finish! Trim off any excess thread.
Finally, gently spiral the ring at the bottom of the earring to the side. Insert the chain and close the ring. Be careful to open the ring just enough to allow the link to pass through, otherwise you risk weakening the fastener or even breaking the ring. Repeat all steps to make the other earring. And that's it! Your creation is complete. Beautiful creation! |
