This jewel is not complicated to make. Just follow the instructions below... And above all, be patient when gluing the braid. |
Assembly: |
||||
To begin, position the braid on the pendant to determine the size of braid to keep. Place the braid starting at the edge of the hole in the pendant, following the curve of the pendant and stopping at the edge of the hole. The braid should be placed so as to conceal the seams.
For the gluing stage, be patient: if you try to go too fast, you'll get glue everywhere and the braid won't have time to set.
I recommend that you put a little glue on the edge of the mother-of-pearl pendant, then gently place the braid, making sure to follow the curve and that the seam is concealed.
Press the braid firmly onto the pendant and hold the pressure until the glue begins to set (approx. 1-2 minutes).
If necessary, reapply a little glue to any areas that haven't set.
Lay the assembly flat with a heavy object on top (a book, for example). Wait 10 minutes, or until you've completed the second gluing operation.
Once the glue has dried, it will solidify the assembly of the braid on the mother-of-pearl.
Finally, open a 6mm ring and thread the mother-of-pearl pendant and oval ring together. Close the ring. Connect the hook to the top of the oval ring. That's it! Your creation is complete. I hope you enjoy creating this jewel, and even more so wearing it! You'll find all the supplies you need to make this jewel at the bottom of the page. |
