At the bottom of the explanations below, find the assembly steps in a short, schematic video. To start, if you want to discover and learn the Brickstitch technique on supports, watch this tutorial which starts the same way with a first row of miyuki delica beads woven around the edge of the support. Click on this link: Miyuki pearl flower earrings This pearl border will serve as a hook for the other pearls and will allow you to mount the other pearls easily. For this version, first weave 10 Miyuki delica 11/0 beads along the edge of the support. Cut a thread of about 60cm, mount the beads while keeping a starting thread of about 15cm. Once the beads are mounted, take the starting thread and put it into the beads to stop it. Cut flush. Take the weaving thread, thread a mother-of-pearl drop bead and a cube bead. Pass it back through the mother-of-pearl bead then insert the needle into the 2nd Miyuki delica bead on the edge. The cube bead blocks the mother-of-pearl bead, tighten the thread well throughout the weaving! Insert the needle into the 3rd bead then thread another mother-of-pearl bead and a cube bead. Continue the assembly until you have mounted 5 mother-of-pearl beads. Now, insert the needle into the last threaded mother-of-pearl bead and into the cube bead. This will create the last bead border and thus bring the mother-of-pearl beads together. Thread a gold washer, a bohemian bead and a washer. Stick in the next cube bead and continue the assembly. Once the last row is done, go back up through the mother-of-pearl bead and the Miyuki bead. Block the thread by passing through the beads of the first row by making loops in the beads. Cut the wire flush. Make the second loop in the same way... Your jewel is finished! Beautiful creation! |
