Its intense green brings out the gold: wear it on its own, or pair it with a white moonstone or black spinel rosary chain. Its very fine, slightly porous structure absorbs the dye deeply: the colour is even and consistent from one bead to the next. Hardness 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGood to know:\u003c\/strong\u003e the colour of this green onyx is obtained by dyeing, an old and common practice for chalcedony.
