To make this necklace, start by cutting a 20cm piece of brass wire. Then start stringing the beads, starting from the centre and working your way up symmetrically on each side.
Tip: Starting in the centre allows you to build up your beads stringing as you go along, avoiding having to take everything apart if you don't think the result is harmonious. This way you can see the construction and the result more easily.
Here we placed mother-of-pearl chips in the centre, interspersed with 5mm rings and pendants. Then we added Malachite chips and finally mother-of-pearl rondelles. The composition measures 18cm but you can adapt the size to suit your taste. At the ends of the brass wire, form the loops by cutting the wire if necessary. Cut 2 pieces of fancy chain approximately 10cm long (the 18cm of beads and the 2x 10cm of chain will allow you to make a 38cm choker without the extension chain). Connect the channels to the loops you have created. Cut about 3cm of extension chain and connect it with a 3mm ring. On the other side, place the clasp with a 3mm ring. And voilà! Beautiful creation!
Tip: Mix different materials, mother-of-pearl, natural stones, vinyl Heishi, pearly beads... to add contrast! |
